TheConnectionSite.com is a family-owned business dedicated to keeping families connected. We accomplish this goal in two ways: first, by creating custom websites that help families stay in touch, and second, by providing work for moms who want to stay home with their children. Our design team is made up of technology-savvy moms who left professional careers to raise children. And because we love our families, we understand the importance of helping you connect with yours.

About Us

My husband and I made the decision that I would leave my full-time career to work from home shortly after our first son was born. Once that decision was made, it took another year and a half to fully make the transition to working from home. With the birth of our second son and several cousins on the way, we also wanted to help other moms in our family be able to stay home with their children. Because of my experience and some wonderful clients, I was able to successfully make the move to a home office. However, we knew the options for other moms were more limited. Our goal was to create a company that could help these mothers be mommies, and provide them with creative, enjoyable work that would give them the additional income they needed to stay home.

The Beginning...

With 10 brothers and sisters in my family and 9 in my husband's family, we found it very challenging to keep up with everyone. Our small boys were growing so fast and our families were very spread out. We began to e-mail our siblings and parents with pictures of our children—although this often bogged down the in-boxes and we could only send a couple at a time. I was designing client websites, and so we decided to make one for ourselves. This way, our families could visit our site and see the latest events in our lives. I had also been planning to put our family history on-line, just to get it out of the boxes. Then the idea came: We could create websites for other families who did not have the expertise or the expensive software to create a professional-looking family site on their own. I would do the design work, and we could have other moms in our family scan pictures, input text, and add the content to the client's custom template. And this was the beginning of TheConnectionSite.com.

About The Halls

	Cari Hall is a mom of two young children, who brought her career in marketing communications home with her. After spending several years as a marketing executive, graphic designer, grant director, and evaluator, she is now a freelance Marketing Consultant/Grant Writer for educational and community organizations around the country. Cari is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a major in Advertising and a minor in Business.
David Hall is a very hands-on dad to his two young sons, and completely supports his wife's decision to work from home. He is currently an Academic Advisor for a busy metropolitan community college that serves national and international students through on-line degree programs. He has a strong interest in motivation and understanding how people communicate and learn. David earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University, and his Master's Degree in Educational Psychology/Counseling from Northern Arizona University in Yuma.
